| Pinyin, meaning, word construction and writing of each character |
Today we learned the following new characters: 吃、米、包、牛。 As you may notice, the theme is food-related this week! So after learning the characters and practicing our hand-writing, we played a food-related game in the class. The students each had a chart where they drew pictures of certain food of their interest and went around to ask their classmates if they like that food or not. When doing the survey, they got to practice their Chinese by asking: "你喜不喜欢吃（喝）xx?" They also worked hard on their drawings, math and social skills. It swas a fun game that everyone participated enthusiastically. Please check out the short YouTube video attached below.

During the last ten minutes or so, we read a Chinese picture book, titled 《月亮的味道》. It was such a cute story that everyone paid attention to it throughout the whole story time!
